Greens have been elected to local councils and to the Scottish Parliament. Our members are active on community councils across Scotland, and work with the UK Green MEPs in Europe.

You can pay as a one-off subscription for a year, or you can set up an open-ended membership subscription, with instalments paid monthly or annually.  Note that the £5 and £12 rates can only be paid annually.  Membership Rates are income-based except for Under-18s and Full-Time Students.

The Scottish Green Party

The Scottish Green Party is part of a growing global Green movement, and is in a strong position as Scotland’s fifth party. The Green MSPs at Holyrood hold the balance of power, while councillors in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeenshire show Greens making the difference locally as well as nationally.

We are, however, still a small party and cannot rely on the corporate donations and large amounts of taxpayers’ money the other parties in Parliament receive. They count on million pound donations, often with strings attached, but even one hundred pounds will be a huge boost to our budget.

If you wish to donate more than £500 in a year, you must be a citizen of the UK and on the UK electoral roll.  For this reason, we must log the addresses of any donors. Donations over £500 from any ineligible donor will be returned.
