Scottish Green Party Conference 2008
Date: Sat., September 20, 2008 – Sun., September 21, 2008
The conference will be held on 20th and 21st September 2008 at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow.
This year's venue is a striking building in central Glasgow, adjacent to media organisations and transport links, as well as to Glasgow's excellent shopping and entertainment facilities. Glasgow has 5 Green councillors as well as its MSP Patrick Harvie, and these elected members will be playing an active role in our conference.
Scottish Green Party members will have received booking forms - all relevant papers are also in the AGM and Conference folder below (you must be logged in to view these as they are within the Members' Area). Internal groups wishing to book a stall or fringe (fringes available now only on the Sunday) should contact chloe.stewart[at]dsl.pipex.com.
Media representatives should contact office[at]scottishgreens.org.uk for press accreditation.
Potential exhibitors, external observers and fringe hosts should complete the appropriate booking forms below (fringe/exhibition bookings should be emailed to chloe.stewart[at]dsl.pipex.com). Invoices will be sent out from the national party office but queries and correspondence should otherwise be directed to Chloe Stewart. Advertising space is also available in our conference booklet, please contact Chloe Stewart for rates.
Exhibitor bookings will guarantee the following benefits:
table and chairs within the striking first floor foyer, through which delegates will pass for registration observer status for 2 named members of your organisation each day (to include refreshments and lunch) access to conference delegates during morning and afternoon coffee breaks, and the lunch period (time for lunch is being set aside free from formal activities) breakfast reception for all fringe hosts/exhibitors on the Sunday morning, offering a special opportunity to meet the Party's elected members
Exhibitor bookings will normally be for the full weekend; please contact Chloe Stewart if you wish to attend for a single day only.
Fringe bookings are available for a lunch time slot (on Sunday only as Saturday is fully booked), in seminar rooms within the main venue, and include observer status as above. The fringe meetings will be advertised within the conference booklet, and final titles will be required by 20th August. Debate and panel formats are especially welcomed.
Lunch and tea/coffee are provided this year but you are welcome to provide additional drinks for example at a fringe meeting - please contact Chloe Stewart should you wish to arrange this.
Joint stalls and fringes between organisations are of course welcome, as are bookings for additional observer places. Please contact Chloe Stewart if you need to discuss anything further.
