The Green MSPs

The Scottish Greens were the only new party of 1999 or 2003 to survive the squeeze in the 2007 election. The Greens have two MSPs in parliament, representing the two largest cities in the country. They are:

Patrick Harvie

Patrick is Green MSP for Glasgow. First elected to the Scottish Parliament in 2003, he is well known in social policy, particularly human rights. He is currently convenor of the Scottish Parliament's Transport Committee, and is Co-convenor of the Scottish Green Party.

Robin Harper

Robin Harper MSP/With his breakthrough success in 1999, Robin was the first Green elected to a national parliament in the UK. He has retained his seat, top of the Green list in Lothians, in 2003 and 2007. Robin is well-known for his work with young people.
